Although each SIOG Annual Conference offers a valuable opportunity to learn from leading experts in geriatric oncology, connect with colleagues from around the world, and stay aligned with the latest scientific evidence, our ambition for the 2026 edition is to take a decisive step forward.

The SIOG 2026 Annual Conference will take place in Valencia, Spain, from Thursday, 5 November to Saturday, 7 November 2026. In line with this year’s theme—“A Global Call to Action: From Vision to Impact in Geriatric Oncology”—we hope the meeting will serve as both a reminder and a catalyst. A reminder that the SIOG community has long been, and continues to be, at the forefront of shaping how cancer care for older adults is delivered; and a catalyst to bring together the global workforce to address persistent barriers and drive meaningful, sustained progress in the field.

We hope that, in Valencia, everyone will feel an integral part of this community; that the scientific programme will not only help answer longstanding questions but also spark new ideas; and that exchanges with colleagues will inspire and reinforce our shared commitment to advancing geriatric oncology. Above all, we hope it reminds us why we come together year after year: to make a meaningful and lasting impact, ensuring that older adults living with cancer receive the best possible care.
