SIOG Awards recognise health professionals for their outstanding contributions and novel initatives for advancing learning and knowledge in geriatric oncology.  Every year, SIOG awards a number of prizes in recognition of excellence during the Presidential Session of the SIOG Annual Conference. Award Categories

The Paul Calabresi Award is SIOG’s highly prestigious prize, recognising exceptional achievement of a SIOG member as a pioneer in clinical research, academia and public engagement in the field of geriatric oncology.

The SIOG National Representative Award recognises SIOG members whose internationally commended work in geriatric oncology has helped to enhance the field in their country.

The SIOG Nursing & Allied Health Award recognises SIOG members with outstanding research leading to improved training programmes, health reform and continuing educational opportunities in geriatric oncology for nursing and allied health professionals.

The YOUNG SIOG Investigator Award recognises SIOG members in the early years of their career with an original research publication demonstrating scientific excellence in geriatric oncology.

The BJ Kennedy Best Poster Award recognises outstanding poster presentation by an investigator who has exposed their most recent research findings to the scrutiny of a panel of renowned experts at the SIOG Annual Conference.
