Getting around in Ghent
Ghent’s public transport is well organised, with a wide network of trams and buses. The buses and trams in Ghent will take you to where you want to go from early in the morning until late in the evening.
The Gent ICC is located 10 minutes walking distance from the main train station Sint-Pieters. To reach the historic city centre, you can either walk to Sint-Pieters station and take the tram to the city centre or take one of the bus lines (bus stop Ledeganckstraat 2 min from the entrance of the conference centre).
The public transport provider is called “De Lijn”. Contactless payment on the De Lijn buses and trams is possible with your debit card, smartphone or smartwatch. You just have to hold your card or device in front of the white terminal. Tickets are valid for 1 hour on all busses and tram lines.
