AgeCare
Academy of Geriatric Cancer Research (AgeCare) is an international Elite Research Center located at Odense University Hospital, Odense, Denmark. The aim of AgeCare is to optimize cancer therapy and supportive care of older cancer patients by doing translational research including basic-, epidemiologic- and clinical research. AgeCare comprise 70 multinational researchers from different cancer-related disciplines. During a 5 year period AgeCare will initiate 17 PhD studies and fund 10 post doc positions. AgeCare will strive to achieve scientific cooperation with other groups and societies interested in older cancer patients, such as the SIOG. SEAMEO Tropical Medicine & Public Health Network
A regional cooperation network established in 1966 for education, training and research under the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education. The Network serves as a focal point in higher education and research with a mission to develop the capacity of individuals and institutions in delivering quality healthcare. The Regional Centres of the Network are affiliated with academic and research institutions which provide the physical facilities, faculty and technical staff in respective Member Countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its Associate Members are Australia, Canada, France, Germany, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Norway).
SEAMEO’s highest policy making body is the SEAMEO Council (SEAMEC), which is composed of the Ministers/Secretaries of Education of the Member Countries.
