    London Global Cancer Week: Putting the Older Patients First, Session by SIOG VENUE: The Royal Marsden Education and Conference Centre, London SW3 6JJ Over two-thirds of deaths in the world are from cancer and around half are in patients >70 years. Possible factors include the increase in population and the fact that cancer is a disease of ageing. However, both globally and in the UK, we do not appear to have an integrated approach to care for older people with cancers. This session will look at the challenges and opportunities on how we could do better, from the perspectives of both the healthcare professional and the patient. This session is aimed at healthcare professionals, academics, policymakers, private sector companies, cancer centres and charities in the global and UK communities.     Monaco Age Oncologie is pleased to announce that its 10th edition will take place under the @SIOG auspices from January 29th to 31st, 2025, at the Monte-Carlo Congress Centre, in Monaco. This multidisciplinary French-speaking oncology congress will represent an opportunity to bring together about 600 oncologists, geriatricians and healthcare professionals interested in improving treatment and healthcare of elderly patients.
