Biographical Info
Roman Dubianski, MD, PhD, is a medical oncologist and the head of The Clinical Oncology Department in West Pomeranian Cancer Center in Szczecin, Poland. Doctor Dubianski received his medical degree in 2005 from Medical University of Gdansk and completed his medical oncology residency in Maria Sklodowska –Curie Memorial Cancer Center and Institute of Oncology in Warsaw. He has more than 15 years of experience in working with cancer patients, especially with both early and metastatic breast cancer in normal practice and in clinical trials. His areas of interest include geriatric oncology, translational research and molecular biology of breast cancer. His work in the laboratory is focused mainly on HER2-positive breast cancer. Doctor Dubianski gives lectures and classes to medical university students and participates as a faculty and lecturer in courses on breast cancer and supportive care for medical professionals- physicians/GPs and oncology and internal medicine residents. He is an active member of SIOG, ESMO, EORTC Breast Cancer and Elderly Task Force Groups. In 2018 he completed ESMO Clinical Unit Visit Fellowship in Department of Oncology of the University Hospital in Leuven with Professor Hans Wildiers, Past President of SIOG, as his mentor. Roman Dubianski co-organized first Polish oncogeriatric conference (2021) and co-edited first Polish oncogeriatric manual (published 2022).
