Programme
For this year, the SIOG 2024 Advanced Course’s directors have prepared an exciting programme that will include advance materials that needs to be completed before the course that will be provided online. This is done to facilitate more case study discussion onsite which means more guidance from our esteemed faculty.
The course will still include its most sought after facet: case-based studies, discussions and debates under the general themes of ‘geriatrics for clinical oncologists’ as well as ‘clinical oncology for geriatricians’. The oncological sessions dedicated to geriatricians will be focused on the principles of cancer treatment in the elderly. The geriatric sessions dedicated to oncologist will be focused on the assessment of the elderly patient, with particular emphasis about polypharmacy, multimorbidity and frailty.
