Dr Sophie Pilleron is an epidemiologist specializing in both aging and cancer, affiliated with the University of Oxford. Her research interest includes the description of the global cancer burden in older people and unpacking the drivers of age disparities in cancer survival using national population-based data. She is an alumnus of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), and an elected member of the governance board of the Nursing and Allied Health group of the International Society for Geriatric Oncology (SIOG), and a member of the Health Services Core of the Cancer and Aging Research Group.
