Geriatric Assessment Workshop

Target audience: Healthcare providers new to geriatric oncology and geriatric assessment to learn the basic geriatric assessment skills.

Objectives
At the end of the workshop the learner will be able to:
1. Describe what domains are included in geriatric assessment and what tools can be used to assess that domain
2. Describe what interventions can be implemented after the geriatric assessment

In the geriatric assessment workshop, attendees will learn about the comprehensive geriatric assessment, including its key domains and the tools used to evaluate each one. They will also explore interventions that can be implemented when deficits are identified to optimise a patient’s overall condition before undergoing oncologic treatment. This interactive, case-based workshop will provide participants with hands-on experience using assessment tools. It is designed for healthcare providers who are new to geriatric oncology and geriatric assessment.

This session will review the components of a high-quality manuscript focused on geriatric oncology.  We will review abstract tips, format and length of manuscript, optimal ways to analyse and present data, and table and figure preparation.
