Dr Andrea Ciccone, MD, is a geriatrician at the Nice University Hospital Centre in France. He also holds a French inter-university diploma in oncogeriatrics.

He performs geriatric assessments primarily for patients with haematological and pulmonary cancers and works in a post-emergency geriatric unit.

His research focuses on integrating geriatric assessment into management pathways for older adults with acute myeloid leukaemia, implementing digital tools to support geriatric assessment and guided care, and evaluating the prognostic significance of geriatric assessment in acute myeloid leukaemia and metastatic lung cancer. He is also involved in developing therapeutic education tools to promote vaccination awareness among older adults and in research on the biology of ageing.

Dr Ciccone is a member of Young SIOG, Young SOFOG (the Francophone Society of Oncogeriatrics), and the French Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology.
