Tomasz Grodzicki (PL)

Specialist in internal medicine, geriatric and hypertension, professor of medicine, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum (2008-2016), vice-rector of the Jagiellonian University for Collegium Medicum in the 2016-2020 term.

Since 2001 he has been the head of the Chair of Internal Diseases and Gerontology, Faculty of Medicine, Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University, and the head of the Department of Internal Diseases of the University Hospital in Cracow.  Between 2002 and 2014 he was a national consultant in the field of geriatrics and in 2006-2008 he was the President of the Board of Directors of the Polish Society of Hypertension.  He is the President of Polish College of Geriatricians.

He is a member of many scientific and social organizations: the Scientific Council of the Minister of Health, the Committee of Clinical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the PKOL Medical Commission, the General Board of the Polish Society of Hypertension, the Scientific Council of the MATIO Foundation, the European Academy for Medicine of Aging and the Academic Board of the European Geriatric Medicine Society.

Internship: New Orleans, USA; Hammersmith Hospital, London, UK; Department of Hypertension Leuven, Belgium.

Co-author of more than 200 publications in the field of hypertension, cardiology and geriatrics, including several textbooks.
