Dr. Tanya Wildes is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology from Illinois Wesleyan University and medical school, internal medicine residency, hematology/oncology and geriatrics fellowships at Washington University. She also completed her Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation at Washington University.  Her research efforts focus on the impact of geriatric syndromes and outcomes in multiple myeloma. She also studies factors associated with falls in older adults with cancer and aims to develop fall-prevention interventions specific to the oncology population. She is the recipient of the K12 Paul Calabresi Career Development Award for Clinical Oncology at Washington University and the NIA Grant for Early Medical and Surgical Subspecialists Transition to Aging Research (GEMSSTAR) R03

CONTENTS:
In this podcast, we will discuss treatment considerations in an older female with newly diagnosed myeloma whose symptoms of disease are significantly impacting her functional status.
