The SIOG 2013 Annual Conference "Multidisciplinary Approach towards Personalized Treatments" has reached 346 delegates, has hold three satellite sessions supported by the industry, has organised 23 scientific sessions, has had a 36% increase in abstracts submission, has given the Paul Calabresi Award to Supriya Mohile and the BJ Kennedy Award for Best Poster to Marije Hamaker.

The Danish Society of Clinical Oncology strongly support the International Society of Geriatric Oncology – SIOG in conducting their annual meeting in Copenhagen. The congress deals with issues of increasing interest, as the growing population of elderly people will give rise of row of challengers to be managed by the clinical community.

  The Danish Cancer Nursing Society sincerely supports the International Society of Geriatric Oncology – SIOG in conducting their annual meeting in Copenhagen 24th-26th of October 2013. Our foremost reason is that the multidisciplinary approach to cancer in the elderly is of great interest to our Society and an important issue of the Danish Cancer Plan III 2010.

"The Danish Society of Hematology have reviewed the preliminary agenda for the International Society of Geriatric Oncology – SIOG - annual meeting which is to be held in Copenhagen 24th-26th of October 2013. The board finds the program comprehensive and that it covers this field at a high scientific level.

The Danish Society of Geriatrics (DSG) support the International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG) in conducting their annual meeting in Copenhagen for geriatric oncology DSG support and appreciate that the SIOG focuses on the rising number of patients in the senior population. This is important for DSG due to the increase of cancer occurrences in recent years, among elderly geriatric patients including their co-morbidity.
